GWO ART-N – Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue

Develop the advanced rescue skills required to recover an injured person from the nacelle, tower or basement of a wind turbine. Participants complete practical rescue scenarios using industry-standard equipment, systems and techniques.

Learning objectives

Participants will learn how to:

• Assess an emergency and select an appropriate rescue strategy.

• Prepare and package an injured person.

• Establish lowering and raising rescue systems.

• Perform rescue from the nacelle, tower, basement and restricted spaces.

• Coordinate rescue activities and communicate with emergency responders.

• Apply relevant single-rescuer rescue techniques.

Applicable GWO prerequisites and valid WINDA records are required.
