GWO ART-H – Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue

Refresh the advanced rescue skills required to recover an injured person from a wind turbine hub, spinner or inside a blade. The course provides intensive practical training using industry-standard rescue equipment, methods and techniques.

Learning objectives

Participants will learn how to:

• Assess an emergency and determine an appropriate rescue strategy.

• Prepare and package an injured person for rescue.

• Select and establish suitable rescue systems.

• Perform rescue operations from the hub, spinner and inside a blade.

• Coordinate the rescue team and communicate with emergency responders.

• Apply relevant single-rescuer rescue techniques.

Refresher training (ART-HR): 1 full day

Applicable GWO prerequisites and valid WINDA records are required.
