ART-HR & ART-NR (Advanced Rescue Training) Refresher
ART-H Advanced Rescue Training – Hub (Refresher)
This refresher module is designed for experienced personnel who have already completed their initial training and need to maintain and advance their rescue capabilities. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, participants will refresh and enhance their ability to perform rescue operations in a WTG hub, on a spinner, and inside the blade, using industry-standard equipment, methods, and techniques that go beyond those covered in basic Working at Height training.
Focus:
Reinforces and advances entry-type rescue operations within a wind turbine generator (WTG) hub, spinner, and blade interior. Single-rescuer skills are fully integrated into the practical exercises, ensuring participants maintain a high level of competence in complex rescue scenarios.
ART-N Advanced Rescue Training – Nacelle (Refresher)
This refresher module is aimed at trained professionals who need to update and strengthen their existing rescue skills. Through both theoretical and practical elements, participants will refresh their ability to carry out rescue operations in a WTG nacelle, tower, and basement, using advanced industry-standard equipment and techniques that exceed those introduced at basic level.
Focus:
Enhances participants’ ability to execute advanced casualty evacuations and rescues in confined and challenging environments such as the nacelle, tower, and basement, ensuring continued competency and confidence in high-risk scenarios.
Prerequisites:
As this is an advanced refresher course, participants must already hold valid, in-date certifications from the Global Wind Organisation Basic Safety Training (BST), including:
- GWO Working at Height
- GWO First Aid
- GWO Manual Handling
Duration:
The course is delivered over 2 days and is intended for those renewing and advancing their existing GWO ART certification, ensuring continued compliance and readiness for complex rescue operations in the wind industry.
